13 Weird, Wonderful Jobs We Never Knew Existed but Totally Wish We Had
Sometimes, when a work day seems particularly long, we find ourselves daydreaming about all the other weird, exciting jobs that other people are out there doing. Occasionally, we’re just dreaming, imagining fun-sounding or crazy positions that probably don’t exist in the real world but would be great to get to do. Like, oh, we don’t know, a cloud hunter. Or wildflower picker. TV watcher — and no, we don’t just mean a critic. Those people do hard work and have to take notes during their shows and then come up with something intelligent to say about it after. We mean just someone who gets to watch TV and turn their brain off for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. It kind of sounds like the life, right?
But every now and then when we’re daydreaming, we’ll stumble upon a trade that’s actually real — and still really weird. It turns out that there are plenty of strange tasks that people are willing to complete for money, and even more that people are willing to pay for. It shouldn’t be that surprising, but when you hear what some of these jobs are, you’ll realize you couldn’t have even thought them up if you tried.
So if you’ve ever been sitting at work, wondering what else you could be doing with your day, well just know that if you’d gone down a different path in life, you could be relocating icebergs. Yep, somewhere out there in the world, real people are being paid real money to relocate icebergs. And though it definitely sounds chilly, it also sounds weirdly soothing. Like cleaning up the house and putting everything back where it belongs, but about one thousand times better. Check out the gallery below to see what other strange, surprising jobs exist that we wouldn’t mind having.
