How to Wrap a Christmas Present in Less Than 2 Minutes
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That is, until you have to start wrapping presents — one of the most frustrating and time-consuming tasks. That being said, a beautifully wrapped gift is something we love to receive, and giving one is just as rewarding. Luckily, wrapping a Christmas present doesn’t have to be super complicated. We found some simple instructions that will help you get each gift done in less than two minutes!
When it comes to simple gift wrapping instructions, the folks over at Real Simple have really hit the nail on the head. In the video tutorial below, Floral Designer Ray Jordan shows us how easy it is to wrap a Christmas gift like a pro. Have your wrapping paper, scissors, and tape at the ready and check it out!
Jordans method for wrapping a boxed Christmas present makes it look all too easy. First, cut a piece of wrapping paper large enough to cover your present. If there is excess paper on either side of the box, trim the wrapping paper so that it fits.
Next, pull one side (width-wise) of your paper over the box and tape it down. Repeat this step on the other side as well. Then, working at the bottom of your box, press the paper down and crease it on both sides with your fingers, making a seam. Press each seam in towards the middle. This should create a paper “tab” at the bottom of your gift. Finally, pull that tab up and tape it. Repeat this step on the top of your box, and your gift is all wrapped!
So if you’ve been using gift bags to avoid wrapping your presents until now, surprise your loved ones this year with a little extra effort. Two minutes is nothing at all, and with foolproof instructions like this, it’s easier than ever.
Happy holidays!
