3 Easter Table Setting Ideas That Will Wow Your Holiday Guests
Bring some joyful color to your celebrations.
Easter is a holiday of joy and renewal. If you’re hosting an Easter celebration this year, a leisurely brunch with colorful and cheerful decor is a gorgeous way to embrace the spirit of the holiday and impress your guests.
If you’re wondering how to make your home feel extra special for the occasion, look no further than these three Easter table setting ideas, which incorporate whimsical elements like nests (and Easter eggs, of course!), teacups, and turf. While these decorative flourishes are simple and reasonably priced, they’ll have a big impact, and will make your table look like something out of a storybook. With just a little bit of planning and crafting, you can create an Easter table so special, your loved ones just might think you had it professionally decorated.
1. Boost the beauty with a nested centerpiece.
Colorful Easter eggs displayed in a floral-kissed nest create a lovely, low-profile focal point for your table.
To Do: Fill an 8-inch craft-store nest (Buy from Michaels, $6.99) with hay and three dyed eggs. Set the nest on a green dinner plate, then tuck clusters of yellow mimosa stems onto the rim of the plate around the nest.
2. Greet guests with blooming teacup posies.
A too-cute teacup placed near each place setting offers guests a cheery hello as they take their seats.
To Do: Fill a teacup half way with water and set on a saucer. Next, snip handfuls of yellow blooms (like daffodils and cowslip) to 6 inches and add to the cup. Tuck a bow into the blooms; sprinkle pink candies on the saucer.
3. Set a happy mood with a gorgeous garden scene.
The key to a special and surprising Easter brunch: pairing unexpected garden touches with festive accents in a sunny spring color palette. Here, an outdoor table is topped with pink dinnerware, flutes of juice, sweet bunny figurines, and a tiered server of brunch bites. Topping plates with decorated eggs and bowls of cereal kissed with edible flowers furthers the whimsical, welcoming feel. The striking extra flair: lush “living” place mats!
To Do: Pick up a short roll of turf from the garden center or nursery and cut into place mats. Afterward, you can use the turf to fill in your lawn (watering as needed). No turf near you? No problem! Try using a faux ivy grass wall panel (Buy from Walmart, $12.99), and cutting it to your desired size.
