Wife Writes Husband a Hilarious ‘Buying Veggies for Dummies’ Grocery List
Most women would agree that asking their husbands to do the grocery shopping would be a big mistake. No matter how many times you tell them exactly what you need, they always seem to forget something. Yet while it seems like most menjust eat what you put in front of them and have basically no idea how to actually shop for groceries, one woman has created a foolproof way to ensure her husband always buys the right things.
Era Golwalkar and her husband Gaurav, who live in India, take turns buying groceries. While Era is, apparently, quite the foodie, Gaurav isn’t as knowledgeable when it comes to the different types of peppers or what his wife means when she asks for medium-sized potatoes.
So Era, who is an illustrator, puts her creativity to good use every time she writes her husband his bi-weekly shopping list. She writes detailed notes and even draws pictures for her husband so he knows exactly what he’s looking for when he’s at the store. They’re pretty much a work of art!

Considering how many likes and retweets a picture of Era’s shopping list has received, it seems like a lot of people can relate to Era’s and Gaurav’s struggles. Era sounds like a wife who is really trying to include her husband in the household chores, right? Well, some people are angered by Era’s list, calling her in-depth explanations and illustrations condescending. We, however, think Era’s gestures are a sign of love. She could have just handed him a list with some words scrawled on it, couldn’t she have? Instead, she’s taken the time to really help him understand the task — so they can ultimately enjoy a delicious meal together. What could be better?
Our verdict? Era’s solution is pretty genius. Maybe it’s time to try this out with your husbands!
