Usually, when a girl is in the face of danger not too far away you’ll find her father doing all he can to rescue her. But the roles were reversed for this daughter-father duo from Fairfax, Va.

    Last November Eric Heffelmire was working on his GMC truck; what he didn't know is how his fix-up session would end.

    While Heffelmire was working on the truck it suddenly fell on him, immediately causing gasoline to spill and ignite the garage and truck into flames.

    The incident called for firetrucks to rush to the Heffelmires' Virginia home, where they were able to put the fire out after everyone was already rushed to safety by one unlikely hero.

    Charlotte Heffelmire, 19, a US Air Force Academy student who weighs 120 pounds and stands at 5-foot-6 lifted the truck off of her father (not once but twice!) and got everyone out of the house.

    According to the Fairfax County Fire Department after saving her father Charlotte also managed to back the truck out of the burning garage, close its door to contain the fire and call 911.

    Charlotte told Fox News: "I came into the garage and the garage was already on fire...I snapped into whatever super mode I had at that point."

    Even after doing all of this Charlotte suffered minimal injuries which included a back injury and burned feet, since she was barefoot through all of it.

    The Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department recently recognized her with a Citizen Lifesaving Award for her bravery.
