The smallest cat breeds in the world can have some of the biggest hearts. And when you learn more about what makes each of these kitties special and unique, you just might feel the urge to take one of them home with you as your tiniest and furriest family member.
As you may be aware, the famous Singapura cat breed takes the miniature crown for being the smallest in size among domestic cats. Friendly and affectionate, it’s no wonder why this adorable breed is rapidly increasing in popularity among cat owners all over the world. After all, what could be cuter than a cat that remains tiny even with age? It certainly doesn’t hurt that these particular felines are also hardy, fun, and playful to boot. But Singapuras aren’t the only kitties who get to play in the tiniest cat-friendly boxes.
From the American Curl cat that boasts signature curled ears to the wavy-coated Devon Rex, there are plenty of cat breeds out there that stay tiny. But we’ve decided to highlight the smallest of the small, to show that even mini kitties can have huge purr-sonalities. While tiny cats might not be right for every household, they certainly make sure that every home they enter is immediately filled with oohs and ahhs. Who’s shocked? We sure aren’t.
