She Wins a Trip on ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ But Then Her Husband Does Something SO Embarrassing–Twice!
It was a geography mistake heard round the nation! David and Keri Daileys, a husband-and-wife team from San Diego, appeared on the Wheel of Fortune and racked up about $60,000 worth of cash and prizes.
One of those prizes: a gondola ride through Venice. After the couple had unlocked that puzzle, TV host Pat Sajak decided to have a little fun. “Let’s check your geography knowledge: What country do you think we’re sending you to?” he asked the Daileys. David piped up right away. “Paris!” he said.
That was geography fail number one. As the audience–and Keri–laughed, he tried again.
Second fail.
Watch the whole chain of events. The funniest part? Keri’s many expressions as her husband stumbles. And just for the record, even though he did say he say he should buy a world map with his winnings, David later posted on Facebook that he knows where Venice is–he was just nervous.
