Meet the Adorable New Gerber Baby
The new Gerber baby is here and, he’s downright adorable!
According to People.com, Gerber received 110,000 entries, but the company settled on a cute 7-month-old named Riley. Gerber decided based on little Riley’s “expressions and visual appeal, as well as how well he’d represent the brand.”
We think they made a good choice!
Riley’s parents, Kristen and Devin Shines, spontaneously entered their son’s photo, and they certainly never expected to win.
“It was a big surprise when we won,” Kristen told People . “We haven’t told our family and friends yet. I’m bursting! It’s a harder secret to keep than when I was pregnant.”
So what perks come with being the official “Gerber Baby”? The Shines get full bragging rights, but they also win a $50,000 cash prize. Riley also now has $1,500 worth of Gerber Baby clothes, and he might even be featured in Gerber print ads.
We hope the fame doesn’t go to his head!
“He’s not going to want to talk to us anymore,” Devin joked, before Kristen added: “He’s flirty to begin with, so I think he’s excited to have more ladies to flirt with.”
