The photo appeared on Reddit recently, and the poster (who calls himself avid climber) wrote an encouraging message to parents everywhere.

“After winning a battle with testicular cancer last year, we finally got our firstborn son,” he wrote. “Real men take care of their baby while mommy takes as many naps as she needs. She’s been through an ordeal!”

It’s true, he’s the one who called himself a dream husband–something that didn’t sit well with some of the people posting comments. But many, many others agreed with him.

If you’re wondering why the baby’s cheeks are so red, the little boy has very dry skin (and, yes, the parents are taking care of it). And while avidclimber’s wife is probably none too pleased at being photographed while snoozing, we’ll bet that this photo will become a treasured item for her in the none too distant future.
