ABC is Airing a Disney Family Singalong This Week Featuring Our Favorite Celebrities
To help us lighten up life during quarantine, ABC will be airing a one-time TV event on Thursday, April 16, at 8 p.m. EST. The special will include a group of A-list celebrities joining together to belt out some of our kids (and let’s be honest — our own) favorite Disney songs for a live singalong from their homes!
ABC announced the special on Twitter with a video peak of what’s to come. The clip listed the celebrity guests that would be attending, and after watching it, we have to say we’re pretty excited!

The event will last for one hour, and it will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest. All performances will, of course, be taking place remotely in accordance with social-distancing guidelines. Voices we can expect to hear include Auli’i Cravalho (who voices Moana) and Josh Gad (who voices Olaf in Frozen). Other celebs include Michael Bublé, Juliane Hough, John Stamos, Kristin Chenoweth, Christina Aguilera, and more!
As for the occasion for such a special, ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke spoke to the press about why it’s so important to make the most of our time right now. “If there’s something that we’ve all learned in the past few weeks, it’s to cherish every moment and the importance of connection, whether through laughter, stories, or music,” she said. “We hope that we can help create some new unforgettable moments in the only way that Disney can.”
On top of filling our hearts with Disney magic, the special will also raise awareness for relief efforts currently happening for the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. There will be PSAs airing throughout the program about Feeding America, an organization with a “vast network and resources for people in the country who are finding themselves in unfamiliar circumstances and facing hunger for the first time due to COVID-19.”
So before the big date, make sure you rally the kids and rehearse “Let it Go” and “How Far I’ll Go!”
To watch the special, tune in to ABC on Thursday, April 16 at 8 PM EST, or go online to watch it live on the ABC website.
