3 Coconut Water Drinks to Eliminate Bloat, Body Fat, and Boost Metabolism
Looking for a beverage that healthy, refreshing, and tasty? Well, try these three delicious drinks, which are made nutrient-rich coconut water to trigger the release of fluids for an instantly flatter belly!
Flushes ‘False Fat’
This tropical sip is markedly more hydrating than plain water, report Malaysian researchers. And that’s important because coconut water’s rich stores of electrolyte minerals (potassium and sodium) balance fluid levels in cells and prompt the release of excess fluids that cause bloat and puffiness. The result: You’ll look five pounds slimmer.
Boosts Metabolism
Brimming with manganese, coconut water supercharges the production of the metabolism-revving thyroid hormone thyroxine. So much so that it can increase your energy expenditure by 50 percent for up to five hours, according to Italian researchers.
Steadies Blood Sugar
Magnesium in coconut water increases cells’ sensitivity to the blood sugar–regulating hormone insulin, dialing down craving inducing blood-sugar spikes and dips. The effect is so powerful that Indian researchers found sipping coconut water daily can improve blood-sugar control by 41 percent in two weeks.
