If you’re a This Is Us, fan then you’ve noticed the hit show has had its fair share of guest stars! TV personalities, actors, and comedians have all lent their talent to the emotional drama that has quickly become one of the most popular shows on air. In fact, in Season 2, Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone had a memorable guest role where he played himself and had scenes with Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley.

His performance was so moving to viewers that People named him one of the best guest stars of 2017. “I thought, they’re getting a big star, boost the ratings, get people to tune in to see Stallone, how good can it be?” Co-host Jessica Shaw admitted. “He’s awesome. "We tried to be really careful with it," creator Dan Fogelman told Entertainment Weekly. "We have a really diverse writing staff and we tried to attack all viewpoints and not turn this into an afterschool special. I’m really proud of the job that all the actors did and the way the writers handled it."
