It seems like just yesterday that Simon Cowell’s son Eric was just a tiny baby. After all, who can forget the look of joy and pride on the TV talent show judge’s face when he and his little boy wore matching sunglasses together on the beach?

Aww! There’s nothing like a baby to bring out someone’s softer side—even if that someone is the tough-talking, non-nonsense Simon Cowell. But Simon Cowell’s son is a baby no more—he’s now three whole years old and has the wit to prove it, as he just adorably demonstrated on America’s Got Talent.

Yes, really! Simon Cowell’s son made a special appearance on the talent show his daddy is currently judging. And let’s just say the little bundle of joy made a big impression, both on viewers and on his own pop.

In a super cute behind-the-scenes clip, Simon Cowell’s son sits on his dad’s lap as the famous judge asks him, “Are you trying to do my job?”

“Yes,” Eric replies.

After his dad asks him what he does for his job, Eric simply starts pressing the giant red button in front of him over and over again.

“That is my job!” Simon says in response.

Wow! We think Eric gives his dad a run for his money in the judge’s seat, to say the least. And we can’t get over how much he looks like him either, especially with his hand at the ready to have a go at that button. Hmm, maybe we’ll see a judging job for Simon Cowell’s son in the future when he grows up?
