Wedding Photographer Snaps Photo the Moment Bridesmaids Spot Dangerous Scene Unfolding

Tags:

Weddings evoke lots of different emotions: happiness, anxiety, sadness, and maybe even a little bit of fear.

As a wedding photographer, Leslie Hollingsworth captures all those feelings on film. But when she developed her latest batch of prints, she probably wasn’t expecting to see such horror on the faces of the bridal party.

At a church in Birmingham, AL, Hollingsworth was taking photos for Peter Saab and Leah Juliano’s wedding. In order to fit everyone in the frame, she stepped off the curb to get a wider angle. As Hollingsworth stood in a parking space off the road, the wedding party was evenly split between members who were shocked, distressed, and completely unaware that a speeding car was heading in their direction.

In an interview with TODAY, Hollingsworth said, “It was a car going way too fast. Obviously I knew what happened because everybody kind of freaked out.”

The bride’s father was standing behind Hollingsworth watching the traffic, so neither the photographer nor the bridal party were ever in any danger. But it wasn’t until Hollingsworth got her film back that she realized she had pictures of the event as it unfolded.

“It’s just hysterical,” Hollingsworth said. “The couple loved it and the wedding party was just dying laughing at their reactions.”

Fortunately, the bride and groom look blissfully unaware of the potentially dangerous situation in front of them.
