If you’re a Fixer Upper fan and love all things associated with Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines, you probably think you already know everything there is to know about the Waco, TX couple and their home remodeling business.
However, like other HGTV shows, there are key moments of the program you probably had no idea are staged! Watch the video to learn more about this, as well as other behind-the-scenes secrets about the show.
Although fans might be a little disappointed that participants don’t get to keep every piece of furniture staged in the home, Joanna also puts in the effort to repurpose or use the clients’ existing furniture as much as she can.
Season three participant Jaime Ferguson shared photos of what her redesigned home looked like after the cameras left — and her house still looked fabulous.
“When it came time to pack up all their beautiful staging furniture [my husband] and I had to decide what we really loved because our budget at that point was pretty spent,” she has said. “We decided to keep the coffee table from Wayfair.com, two striped chairs from Wayfair and the dining table. Joanna gifted some of the music room items that she had custom made for Kyle. So special!”
