Making the best cottage cheese cookie dough
Here are some essential tips to ensure your edible dough turns out perfectly.
1. Choose the right cottage cheese
If you choose a low-fat option, make sure it blends thoroughly to avoid graininess, but opt for full-fat cottage cheese for a creamier texture and richer flavor. Small-curd options won’t need as much flour.
2. Blend thoroughly
Ensure the cottage cheese is well-blended to achieve a smooth and consistent dough, mimicking the texture of traditional cookie dough.
3. Sweeten naturally
Use natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup to add sweetness without refined sugars, keeping the dough healthier.
4. Fold in mix-ins
Add your favorite mix-ins such as dark chocolate chips, nuts or dried fruit for texture and added enjoyment.
