Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream Is Back for a Limited Time

UPDATE — October 5, 2017: From now until October 8, Starbucks is offering pumpkin spice whipped cream — yum!

To celebrate pumpkin spice latte’s 14th birthday (14!), Starbucks is letting PSL lovers enjoy their lattes with an extra side of PSL. This fancy fall option is made from real pumpkin, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon — the perfect fall combination.

Pumpkin spice whipped cream is only available in the U.S. and Canada.

UPDATE — August 18, 2017: According to the Starbucks subreddit, the wait for the pumpkin spice latte may soon be over.

Someone with the username depsdeps15 posted a picture of the pumpkin spice flavoring with a simple caption: “It’s here.”

According to Delish, you’ll have to wait until September 5 to actually get one made for you. That said if you’re really craving a PSL, you can (probably) find them at your local grocery store.

When there’s an extra crispness in the air and leaves start turning golden, it can only mean one thing: the return of Starbuck’s pumpkin spice latte (PSL). But this year, Starbucks is rolling out their seasonal favorite with a twist.

According to Business Insider, the orange drink will be available to consumers in supermarkets as early as this month, and it will be a lot cheaper, too. At around $2.79 for a 14-ounce bottle, Starbucks lovers can get their fix at almost half the price of what they would pay if they entered a brick and mortar.

If you live for fall and pumpkin is your thing, the caffeine giant is also rolling out pumpkin-flavored coffee, available in stores in August as well. You can never have too much pumpkin, apparently!

The New York Times quoted Starbucks’ CEO and founder Howard Schultz as saying that the PSL is their “most popular seasonal beverage ever.” And while we’re a bit partial to Starbucks’ holiday drinks (hello, peppermint mochas and chestnut praline lattes!), there’s no denying that there’s been an increase over the years in pumpkin spice latte anything — including pumpkin spice candles and pumpkin spice hummus.

Starbucks has still not said when PSL will be available on the menu again, but this change tends to happen around early September. If you’ve been waiting all year for your drink, then this news about a new way to get pumpkin spice lattes even earlier should be welcome.

With news that August is set to be unusually cold, this announcement couldn’t have come soon enough. We’ll wait patiently for September the return of hot pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks, but until then you can find us curled under some blankets with our bottled PSL.

What about you?
