Spray-On Pumpkin Spice Flavor Is a Thing and We’re Not Sure If We’re Thrilled or Terrified
The world is filled with inventions no one asked for but have grown to love; things like pizza ice cream or cheese in a can come to mind. Will spray-on pumpkin spice be next?
Simply Beyond, the maker of the organic Spray-On Spice range that includes flavors like pumpkin spice, gingerbread, and cinnamon, markets these products as “The Dry-Spice Alternative.” Use these products and you’ll get all the flavor of traditional spices without the gritty texture, reads their website. Apples, pancakes, oatmeal, and coffee are perfect opportunities to “spice up your day.”
For those of you who are pumpkin spice-aholics, Spray-On Spice is the perfect way to add pumpkin to everything. Simply Beyond touts the fact that their products don’t taste like synthetic chemicals, which is often an issue in flavored coffee creamers. Breakfast foods and fruit are only the beginning!
But for those who think sprayable pumpkin spice is a crime against humanity, you might ask yourself, “Is nothing sacred?” Today it’s lattes, but who knows what tomorrow will bring? Pumpkin spice buffalo wings? No, thank you! You might as well go full crazy and just spray it straight into your mouth, right?
Regardless of your feelings about pumpkin spice, Simply Beyond does offer two other flavors that feel quintessentially fall and are pretty hard to ruin: cinnamon and gingerbread.
Will you be using sprayable spices this holiday season? There is certainly nothing wrong with going the old-fashioned route and measuring out dry spices, but you have to admit that the idea of spray-on spices sounds not only futuristic but also pretty darn cool.
