The daughter of a drama teacher and the sister of actor and filmmaker Warren Beatty, a life on the screen was inevitable for Shirley MacLaine, the young ballet dancer from Virginia. Her interest in the arts as a young girl took her all the way to the Big Apple after high school, where she got her big break on the stage before she was discovered.

A young Shirley MacLaine would make her film debut in 1955’s The Trouble With Harry. Her film career has resulted in numerous awards and accolades including an Oscar, Emmys, Golden Globes and so on.
