This Evening’s Full Moon Will Collide With a Lunar Eclipse – And These Four Zodiac Signs Will Feel It Most

In the early hours of November 19, something strange and eerie will happen. The full moon will shine bright well into the evening but never reach its full glory. Starting at 1:02 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, it will slowly begin to vanish. The reason? A partial lunar eclipse.

Tomorrow morning will mark the second partial lunar eclipse of this year, but that’s not what makes it special. The Earth will cast its shadow over a whopping 97 percent of the moon’s surface. The eclipse will reach its peak by 4:03 a.m. Eastern Time, at which point you will barely be able to see the moon, if at all. (But if you still want to see it, it will be very bright and full this evening!) Due to the moon’s unique position in its trip around the Earth, this will be the longest lunar eclipse in about 1,000 years.

The meeting of these two astronomical events has caused quite a stir in the world of astrology. They are happening in the sign of Taurus, an earth sign ruled by Venus. What does this mean for Taurus, and all the other zodiac signs?

How the Full Moon and Eclipse Affect All Zodiacs

In general, astrologers believe that full moons boost energy and magnify emotions. Your strongest qualities tend to become stronger, whether they’re positive or negative. Your strongest emotions get intensified. Pisces, for instance, may feel even more empathetic and try to strengthen bonds with others, though this could leave them emotionally drained. Scorpios may seem more stubborn and dramatic than usual, though they may also create greater intimate connections with their partners. For everyone, a full moon represents closure – the end of a chapter.

Normally, the Beaver Moon would gradually cause these effects. (The full moon in November is traditionally known as the Beaver Moon, a nod to this cold time of year when beavers shore up, store food, and shelter in their lodges and dams.) However, it’s coupled with a lunar eclipse, which can intensify things quite a bit.

Lunar eclipses create volatility, adding unpredictability and causing dramatic energetic shifts. Astrologers believe that they tend to speed up events that were already happening, good or bad. Thus, an eclipse essentially amplifies the effects of a full moon and pushes us toward significant change.

While all of this can feel a bit chaotic, there are some positive takeaways. If you’ve been putting something off or can’t make an important decision, the Beaver Moon paired with the lunar eclipse may give you clarity and help you act. Taking a step out of your comfort zone during this time of year may be the best thing that you do!

The Biggest Impact Is on Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius

Taurus and Scorpio will feel the effects of the full moon and the eclipse the most, with Leo and Aquarius close behind. If you are a Taurus (April 20 to May 20), expect a transformative experience and a new sense of self. You may also undergo a significant change in your health. As a person who loves stability, don’t let these changes throw you off balance. Mentally prepare for these shifts ahead of time, and you will be rewarded.

If you are a Scorpio (October 23 to November 21), you may feel similar urges to redefine parts of yourself or even your whole self. You may be in a relationship – whether it’s friendship, professional, or romantic – that’s been draining you. Now is a good time to end it. Don’t be afraid to cut things off quickly to create room for more fulfilling relationships. Put your personal needs first to reduce stress, and you will find happiness.

If you are a Leo (July 23 to August 22), it’s time to reap the benefits of your labor. You’re a hard worker, and you need to focus more on your mental well-being to create a better life balance. The full moon and eclipse may push you toward a breakthrough, either at home or at work. Or they may push you to change direction drastically, depending on what you need. Either way, the shift will be a good one.

As for you, Aquarius (January 20 to February 18), you will be feeling even more emotional, sensitive, and vulnerable than usual. You may need to take care of a personal situation with your family or friends which can cause your emotional intensity to reach a peak. Don’t let this become a breaking point, and don’t ignore your emotions, either. Follow your gut and talk through what you’re feeling with someone you can trust. While the full moon and the eclipse will make things more intense, they will also give you clarity to better understand where your head is at.

Whether you are one of these Zodiac signs or not, take this time to reflect and listen. The Beaver Moon combined with the eclipse can cause shifts in your life no matter your birth sign. Changes may happen quickly, so pause and take time to breathe. Assess the full situation at hand so you can make the best decision, no matter what circumstance you’re in. And once you make that choice, don’t look back. Use this shift to push yourself to where you want to be.
