What to know about ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ season 2
If you tuned into season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, then you know it was quite the wild ride. It follows a group of Utah-based Mormon moms who all come together and make TikToks under the name “Momtok,” but along the way, they are faced with issues like a swinging scandal, arrests, unplanned pregnancies, unstable relationships and that’s all just in episode 1.
The rest of the season follows the woman as they deal with their public image, fake friendships and trying to figure out just how unveiled they want to be within the Mormon church.
For some, like Jen Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley and the show’s “villain” Whitney Leavitt, that means not drinking and trying to go to church every Sunday. They are considered the show’s “saints.”
For others like Jessi Ngatikaura, Demi Engemann, Layla Taylor and Taylor Frankie Paul, they are dealing with getting divorced, remarried and knowing that to most they look like “sinners” of Momtok.

Going into season 2, all of these women are expected to return to the show, but based on their social media, it is believed that Matthews and Neeley have switched to team sinners after forming a close bond with Ngatikaura.
Also, in season 2, viewers can expect a reunion between Affleck and her husband Zac, lots of fights between Paul and her boyfriend and baby-daddy Dakota Mortensen and even a pregnancy announcement. As of publication, it remains unclear whose announcement it is, but Affleck Matthews and Neeley have all shared on their respective social media that they are expecting.
The season 2 trailer also teases an aggressive fight between Engemann’s husband Bret and somebody else and the police showing up to an undisclosed event.

Who is joining the cast of ‘Mormon Wives’ season 2?
From season 1, Ngatikaura, Engemann, Taylor, Paul, Affleck, Matthews, Neeley and Leavitt are all expected to return, along with their husbands.
Joining the cast, though, is none other than Miranda McWhorter—aka Miranda Hope—who helped co-create Momtok with Paul but left after she was accused of swinging with her former friend and her husband.
McWhorter’s casting announcement comes after several people spotted her at various events with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast these past few months. However, it is still shocking for several people since the mother of two went on record after season 1 came out, saying that she and the other Momtok co-creator Camille Munday never wanted to be involved with the reality series.

“Camille and I had multiple interviews, or calls, with [Hulu,]” McWhorter said on The Weekly Trash podcast in August 2024. “She and I agreed that it just [gave us,] like a pit in our stomach, every time. For our lives, it just didn’t feel right at all. I already got exploited on the internet without my consent. You think I’m gonna ask for that?”
Now, though, it seems McWhorter changed her mind. She is still friends with Munday, and it is unclear if she will appear in season 2.
When does ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ season 2 premiere?

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2 is set to be released on Hulu on May 15, 2025. There will be 20 episodes, all of which are expected to be at least 45 minutes long.
If you need to catch up before then, though, season 1 is currently available to stream on Hulu.
