See the Cast of HBO’s ‘Girls’—Adam Driver, Lena Dunham, Allison Williams: Where Are They Now?
Do you remember the ladies at the helm of this series?
Few shows have captured the trials, tribulations, confusion and chaos of early adulthood quite like the HBO hit Girls. Set in 2010s Brooklyn, the series followed four friends as they navigated post-college life, jobs and relationships and portrayed their day-to-day happenings in a way that was laugh-out-loud funny and deeply witty. Created by and starring Lena Dunham, Girls remains a must-watch for any season of life you’re in. Concluding in 2017, see what the cast of Girls has been up to since the show ended.
Lena Dunham as Hannah

Lena Dunham served as the creator, star, showrunner, writer and executive producer, and despite juggling all of those titles, brought to life the complicated and controversial character of Hannah for six seasons. After her work with Girls concluded, Dunham continued to work both in front of the camera and behind. On screen, you might have caught her in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood (2019), Sharp Stick (2022), which she wrote, directed and executive produced, and Treasure (2024). Some of her off-camera work includes creating and writing the series Camping, as well as writing, directing and producing the 2022 film Catherine Called Birdy. In 2021, she married her husband, Luis Felber. As of July, Dunham revealed to the New Yorker that she was working on a new semi-autobiographical television series, Too Much, and an upcoming memoir.
Allison Williams as Marnie

Toward the end of her run on Girls, Allison Williams’ career took a major left turn as she began to shine in a genre far different from her HBO hit: horror. In 2017, she shook audiences in Get Out opposite Daniel Kaluuya, then proceeded to shine in Netflix’s The Perfection (2018). One of her most significant films within the genre was 2022’s M3GAN. In 2023, she acted in the miniseries Fellow Travelers.
Adam Driver as Adam

Adam Driver, who portrayed one of Hannah’s most significant love interests, Adam Sackler, went on to have a prolific career post-Girls. From serving as a franchise player in countless Star Wars films to leaving his mark on the movie industry in flicks such as Marriage Story (2019), House of Gucci (2021) and Megalopolis (2024), Driver has built quite the career for himself after his time on the HBO hit.
Jemima Kirke as Jessa

After Girls, Jemima Kirke, who played the part of bohemian and free-spirited Jessa, continued her television run. The actress made appearances in shows such as Maniac, Sex Education, Conversations with Friends and Life & Beth. In addition to acting, Kirke is an accomplished artist.
Zosia Mamet as Shoshanna

After bringing to life the character of Shoshanna, Zosia Mamet has also continued to enjoy a successful career on the screen. Shows such as The Flight Attendant, The Decameron and Laid line her resume, as well as films like Madame Web (2024).
Andrew Rannells as Elijah

Though he is known by many for his role as Elijah in Girls, Andrew Rannells enjoyed success on the stage in the original cast of The Book of Mormon before joining the series. After Girls, Rannells could be seen in A Simple Favor (2018), The Prom (2020), and he’s additionally lined his resume with several voice acting roles, most significantly in Big Mouth.
Alex Karpovsky as Ray

Alex Karpovsky played the part of Ray, and after his work on the series, he could be seen in Homecoming, an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Angelyne.
