Dennis Franz and Joanie Zeck

NYPD Blue’s Dennis Franz, who portrays Andy Sipowicz, has been married to his sweetheart for nearly 30 years. The actor met his wife, Joanie Zeck, back in 1982 on April Fool’s Day. They didn’t tie the knot for another 13 years until 1995, in a California wedding.
Although the two didn’t have children together, Franz has become the stepfather to Joanie Zeck’s two daughters from a previous marriage, Krista and Tricia. Franz and Zeck are still happily married today.
Gordon Clapp and Deborah Taylor
Gordon Clapp, who portrayed Greg Medavoy, was previously married to actress Deborah Taylor. The two married in 1986 and welcomed son, William, two years later. Clapp and Taylor remained together for 13 years, before splitting up in 1999.Â
Gordon Clapp and Elisabeth Gordon

Years later, Clapp found another love through a mutual friend. The actor met his current wife, Elisabeth Gordon, and the two walked down the aisle in November 2016. The couple are often photographed together at events.
James McDaniel and Hannelore McDaniel

James McDaniel, who portrayed Arthur Fancy on NYPD Blue, is married to Hannelore McDaniel. Not much is known about the couple’s meeting or when they exchanged vows, but they do have two children together, Deal and Dorian.
Jimmy Smits and Barbara Smits
In 1980, Jimmy Smits, who is best known for his portrayal of Bobby Simone, married Barbara Smits. The couple were high school sweethearts, and they welcomed two children during their relationship — daughter Taina and son Joaquin. The two eventually split up in 1987 after seven years of marriage.

Kim Delaney and Charles Grant
Kim Delaney, who is best known for her role as Diane Russell, was previously married to actor Charles Grant. Delaney and Grant exchanged vows in 1984. The couple didn’t have any children and eventually divorced after four years in 1988.
Kim Delaney and Joe Cortese

About a year after her split from Grant, Delaney married her second husband, actor Joe Cortese, in 1989. The couple welcomed son Jack in 1990, but eventually split up in 1994.

NYPD Blue’s Sharon Lawrence, who starred as Sylvia Costas, has been married for nearly 23 years. The actress tied the knot with her husband, Tom Apostle, in 2002.
