Plus, where you can stream each of them at home!

There is something particularly special, weighty and almost magical about being given the opportunity to learn more about the people who have guided our country over the past two-and-a-half centuries. From shocking secrets of their past to what really happened before, during and after the assassinations that took four of them from us, and their day-to-day life in the White House, movies about presidents are captivating.

Here we take a look at some of the most moving and fascinating movies about Presidents.

7. W (2008): Movies About Presidents

Oliver Stone, the director of Platoon and JFK, among many others, delves into the life of George W. Bush, Jr. and his journey to The White House in this bio-film. In it, we see a Bush (Josh Brolin) who has always strived to get out of his congressman father’s shadow, but struggled to do so.

He attempted to run an oil company, but failed. He tried baseball, but that didn’t work out either, because he kept falling victim to his alcoholism. Soon, though, conquered that disease and Bush Jr. found himself drawn into politics, everything changing for both him and America.

4. Lincoln (2012)

But the Confederacy vehemently opposes this and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep their slaves — even if it means the assassination of the president. Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones also star.

3. Killing Kennedy (2013): Movies About Presidents

Everyone thinks they know what happened to John F. Kennedy (JFK), but is that truly the case?
