Andy Samberg and Joanna Newsom
Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Andy Samberg, known as Detective Jake Peralta, has been in love for over a decade. Samberg first met his wife, Joanna Newsom, back in 2008 and quickly hit it off. Their relationship remained low-key over the years and in 2013 the pair got engaged. Later that year, they tied the knot.
In 2017, it was confirmed Samberg and Newsom welcomed their first daughter together. In 2022, they had another daughter, but the couple has chosen to keep their names and ages private. Over the years, both Newsom and Samberg have shown up on red carpets to support each other.
Andre Braugher and Ami Brabson
Captain Ray Holt, portrayed by Andre Braugher, was married to actress Ami Brabson for just over three decades. The couple married in 1991 and soon after began starring on Homicide: Life on the Street (1993-1999) as a married couple.
Braugher and Brabson had three sons together — Michael in 1992, Isaiah in 1996 and John-Wesley in 2003. Braugher spoke about the relationship he had with his wife, saying she knew him better than anyone.
“We’re like-minded; we grew up in similar neighborhoods; we share the same values,” Braugher said. “She knows me like the back of her hand, and I’m grateful for that.”
Sadly, in 2023, Braugher died of lung cancer.
Melissa Fumero and David Fumero
Melissa Fumero, who portrays Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Amy Santiago, had a sweet beginning with her husband, David Fumero. The actress recalls seeing him in the Mariah Carey music video for “Honey” (1997) and having a crush on him.
“This video played all the time on MTV when I was like 13 or 14, and I was obsessed with the hot guy at the end of the video.”
The two didn’t meet until years later on the set of One Life To Live, where they starred as the couple Adriana Cramer and Cristian Vega, but she didn’t know her new co-star was her former crush. Not long after, their on-screen relationship bled into real life.
The couple got engaged in 2006 and eventually tied the knot in 2007. During their relationship, they’ve welcomed two sons — Enzo in 2016 and Axel in 2020.
Stephanie Beatriz and Brad Hoss
You might recognize her as Detective Rosa Diaz with a tough exterior on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but in real life, Stephanie Beatriz is happily married to Brad Hoss. The couple exchanged vows in 2018 in a big wedding they planned on their own. In 2021, Beatriz and Hoss welcomed their first child, a daughter named Rosaline.
Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele
Chelsea Peretti (Gina Linetti) and Jordan Peele have been married for almost a decade. The couple first sparked dating rumors when they began tweeting each other in 2013 and Peretti shared a photo of Peele to her Instagram. In 2014, they made their first official appearance together.
In November 2015, Peretti and Peele announced their engagement and after less than a year, they eloped. In 2017, the couple welcomed their first child, son Beaumont.
Terry Crews and Rebecca King-Crews
Terry Crews, known for his role as Lieutenant Terry Jeffords, married college sweetheart, Rebecca King in 1989 and have been together ever since. The Crews had four children of their own and one daughter from Rebecca’s previous marriage.
Rebecca’s daughter, Naomi, was born in 1987 before she married Terry, and the actor adopted her as his own after they wed. The couple’s subsequent children are daughter Azriél (1990), daughter Terra (1998), daughter Wynfrey (2003) and son Isaiah (2005).
Joe Lo Truglio and Beth Dover
Joe Lo Truglio, who portrays Charles Boyle, met his wife, actress Beth Dover, sometime around 2003. The couple walked down the aisle in 2014 and have been together ever since. They have one child together, a son named Eli, born in March 2016.

Joel McKinnon Miller, who is best known as Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Scully, has been married for a number of years, having married Tamara McKinnon in 1984. The couple welcomed two children together, son Owen and daughter Caitlyn.
