10. “28th of June” (2024)
Megan Moroney has proven that nobody does sad country songs like her, and “28th of June” backs that up. This heartbreaking track off of Am I Okay? revolves around the anniversary of a relationship gone-by. Starting off by reflecting on the memories of the past, she goes on to say that the date which once held meaning and memories is now “just another Tuesday.”
9. “Why Johnny” (2023)
In another slow track with just a touch of sadness, Moroney addresses June Carter Cash, asking her what made her not give up on her relationship with Johnny, despite the heartache it caused her. Of course, Megan is comparing her own experiences with a “Johnny of my own” to that of June.
