Costello (a Connecticut-based mom and grandma) began sharing her traditional family recipes on TikTok at the start of the pandemic. Her demonstrations of how to make comforting dishes earned her well over one million followers.
The reason? Her followers feel connected to her not just because of her mouthwatering food, but because of her unique personality.
“I get so many messages each week that I’ve helped fill a hole or space in many lives that are missing their mothers or grandmothers,” she tells AllRecipes. “It is the thing that really keeps me going.”
