See Christie Brinkley’s Husbands Through the Years

She was married at the beginning of her career, but as the world quickly fell in love with the statuesque blonde she divorced her husband and started a series of well-publicized romances.

Jean-Fracois Allaux

Brinkley met her Frenchman husband when she moved to Paris to study in 1973. The couple married later that year and divorced in 1981. "“He’s a great guy,” Brinkley said of Allaux, 'but my career took off and it strained the relationship.'" They have no children together.

Billy Joel

Perhaps the most well-known of her four husbands, Joel and Brinkley were married from 1985 to 1994. Before they were married, Brinkley famously starred in the music video for Joel's hit song "Uptown Girls." They have one daughter together.

On Dec. 29, 1985, Brinkley gave birth to the couple's only child, a daughter named Alexa Ray Joel. She is both Brinkley and Joel's first child.

The 31-year-old has followed in the footsteps of both famous parents. She is a singer and songwriter like her father, and in 2010, she was the spokesperson for Prell shampoo. Her mother also starred in commercials for the haircare brand in the mid-80's.

To this day Brinkley and Joel remain friends. Brinkley even attended Joel's third marriage to ex-wife Katie Lee in 2004. They are pictured above in 2011 after Brinkley made her debut as Roxie in Chicago.

Richard Taubman

Brinkley's next husband was Ricky Taubman, a real estate developer. The pair met at the Telluride ski resort in Colorado when Brinkley was still married to Joel. Brinkley, Taubman, and Taubman's son from a previous marriage were in a helicopter together when it crashed into a mountain, stranding the trio for five hours. "The near-death experience brought the budding couple closer together," and the couple were married in 1994. Less than a year later in 1995, they divorced.

In 1995, the couple had their only child, a son they named Jack Paris Taubman.

In 2013, Jack was enrolled at Emerson College in Boston. His current plans are to be an actor.

Peter Cook

Brinkley married Peter Cook, an architect, in 1996 at a Bridgehampton ranch in New York. Billy Joel attended the wedding. The couple stayed together until 2008 after Cook's affair was revealed.

During their marriage, Cook adopted Jack, Brinkley's son from her previous marriage to Richard Taubman. In 1998, the pair had their only child together, a daughter named Sailor Brinkley Cook.

Sailor is currently a student at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Brinkley's youngest daughter bears a strong resemblance to her mother, so it's not surprising that Cook is signed to IMG Models.
