4 Outfits That Prove Princess Charlotte Is Going to Be a Fashion Icon Like Her Mother
The best Princess Charlotte clothes are pretty unforgettable — and we’re not the only ones dazzled by their cuteness. Even though the beloved royal is so young, Princess Charlotte fashion is actually more influential than Kate Middleton fashion today. (Yes, you read that correctly.)
According to eBay, Princess Charlotte has the biggest “spend” power of any royal, driving massive amounts of searches for the gorgeous outfits she wears. Of course, Princess Charlotte’s clothes were always going to generate interest from royal fans — she is her royal cuteness, after all. But Princess Charlotte’s cardigan that she wore to mark her second birthday proved once and for all that her royal fashion influence could be greater than many of us may have realized.
“Her yellow cardigan worn in her birthday picture sparked the biggest percentage increase in searches for an item of clothing worn by any royal,” the eBay spokesman told Daily Mail. “There were three searches an hour for the item itself — ‘yellow cardigan’ — across the whole month, peaking on the day the photo was first released.”
This may come as a surprise to those who thought Kate Middleton would spark the most searches, but the vice president of trading at eBay explained this phenomenon as such: “It’s the youngest generation of royals who really generate the must-have fashion items — and driving a new generation of shopping behavior on eBay.”
We guess that makes sense. After all, who doesn’t love shopping for beautiful baby clothes? We have to say, Princess Charlotte’s clothes seem like a pretty fantastic source of inspiration to start. And we’re not worried about the Duchess; we’re sure that Kate Middleton is just fine with Princess Charlotte’s fashion influence and prowess. After all, it’s her mama who picks out her wardrobe in the first place. Clearly, the stylish apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
