Prince William Is ‘Anxious’ About Kate’s Third Pregnancy

Prince William has made his first public appearance since Kensington Palace announced that Duchess Catherine is expecting a third little prince or princess.

On Tuesday, the royal dropped by the National Mental Health and Policing Conference in Oxford, England to give the keynote address. There, he spoke about the happy news while also providing a health update on his wife of six years as she continues to suffer hyperemesis gravidarum — the same condition she battled while pregnant with their 4year-old son, George and 2-year-old daughter, Charlotte.

“It’s very good news,” he said. “We need Catherine to get over this first bit and then we can start celebrating. It’s always a bit anxious to start with, but she’s well.”

He later added: “There’s not much sleep going on at the moment.”

William’s brother, Prince Harry, was quick to give his two cents on the exciting news — even jumping ahead of the new parents!

“Fantastic, great,” he told reporters outside a scheduled appearance on Monday, adding a thumbs up. “Very, very happy for them.”

The soon-to-be sixth heir in line said that he “hadn’t seen [Kate] in a while” but she’s doing “OK”

Kensington Palace announced Monday that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 35, are expecting their third baby.

In a statement released on Monday morning U.K. time, the palace said the duchess was experiencing severe morning sickness and will be missing out on her latest engagement as a result.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child,” the palace said.

“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

“As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. Her royal highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today.”

It concluded: “The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”

Woman’s Day exclusively revealed that Kate was rushed to King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, London, at the end of last month, sparking a flurry of speculation she was pregnant.

A royal insider said Kate, who was last spotted out in London last week for the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, has been laying low.

“Kate’s been spending much of her time in bed — her energy levels have been very low over the last couple of weeks,” the source says.

“But she’s ecstatic to be expecting baby number three — this is everything she’s always wished for.”

Congratulations again to the soon-to-be family-of-five!
