Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Release Stunning New Engagement Photos
Nearly one month after announcing their engagement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are commemorating the moment with a stunning photoshoot. The royal couple posed for a series of shots for photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Frogmore House in London.
With her engagement ring in full view, Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, looked more in love than ever as they smiled in the two lovely photos — one formal, one slightly more casual. “Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have chosen to release this official portrait photograph to mark their engagement,” Kensington Palace captioned the posts on its official Instagram account. They’re one good-looking couple, that’s for sure!
Shortly after the photos went viral, the royal couple followed up with a black-and-white candid shot as a “thank you” to all their supportive fans. The caption read, “Thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments following the release of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle’s engagement photographs. The couple is so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives. As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you.” You’re welcome, Harry and Meghan!
The famous photographer also shared his excitement about capturing the royal couple before their wedding day. “A huge thank you to His Royal Highness Prince Harry and Ms. Markle, for allowing me to take their official engagement portraits,” Alexi wrote. “Not only was it an incredible honor, but also an immense privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for each other. I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took.”
Harry and Meghan are set to exchange vows on May 19, 2018. The low-key nuptials will take place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle (don’t worry, you can still watch on TV!).
If you want our opinion, these photos are framers — and could make great Christmas gifts for Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton, and the rest of the royal clan! Do royals send out save the dates? If so, these can be great for those, too. Congrats again to Meghan and Harry — we can’t wait for the big day!
