Prince Harry is About to Become a Godfather (Again!) for a Very Special New Addition

Prince Harry is set to add another title to his ever-increasing list of duties — being a godfather, again!

The 35-year-old prince is already godfather to a number of children belonging to his nearest and dearest, including Zara and Mike Tindall’s one-year-old daughter, Lena.

But his next godfather gig could well be his most poignant yet, and not least because of his own son Archie Harrison.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Harry’s good friend Tom Inskip is expecting his first child with his wife Lara. Given Harry and Tom’s close friendship, which goes way back to when the pair were children, it seems natural that Harry would likely get the call-up for godfather duties.

And perhaps most special of all, the newborn will be similar in age to Prince Harry’s brand new baby boy Archie, who was born in May this year. We can already sense the two cherubs will make some solid playmates!

Tom has long been associated with the prince — in fact, it was he who Harry shared many a wild night out with back in his rebellious “party” days. It seems the pair has certainly come a long way since.

Harry and Meghan attended the wedding of Tom and Lara in 2017, and despite reports that the pair had a falling out of sorts in 2018, it seems they have again reconciled. Last year, it was reported Harry had “frozen out” some of the friends he had kept since his party days.

“Like several others who were considered a questionable influence on Harry during his bad old bachelor days, Tom has been dropped, even though he himself now has a lovely wife, Lara,” a source told The Express at the time.

But it seems the pair have since made up, with The Sun reporting that the pair had reunited following the tragic death of Lara’s mother. A source explained the situation to the publication saying, “Skippy and Harry are back as tight friends. When Harry heard about Lara’s mother’s horrible passing, it really hit a nerve.”

“Lara has raised money to support research into mental health and Harry decided to let bygones be bygones.”

It’s not yet confirmed as to whether Harry will be godfather to his friend’s new baby – but either way, it’s entirely likely the details will be kept quiet, especially given that even Archie’s godparents have never been disclosed to the public.

Indeed Archie’s christening back in July was kept private at the request of Meghan and Harry, who have made it clear they wish for Archie to live as normal a life as possible.

That said, there is plenty of speculation as to who his godparents are. They include Harry and William’s former nanny Tiggy Legge Bourke, who is understood to still hold a close relationship with the royals.

Harry’s childhood friend Charlie van Straubenzee is also a possible godparent of Archie’s, having attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018. Harry was also best man at Charlie’s wedding a couple of months later.

With this in mind, there’s no doubt Harry and his affluent group of pals will surround Archie and Tom’s new baby with plenty of love.
