Seeing Double: Meet Meghan Markle’s Australian Doppelgänger, Stephanie
We’re seeing double! Ever since the engagement announcement, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry doppelgängers have been in high demand. From fooling the paparazzi to acting in the engagement biopic, the sight of such lookalikes have sent the people just trying to get a glimpse of the royal lovebirds into a frenzy. Stephanie Murray, who lives in Australia, might be one of the best matches we’ve seen yet.

When Stephanie Murray walks down the street or serves customers in her retail store, it’s not uncommon for people to stare, ask for a photo, or even beg for her autograph. The 28-year-old is the spitting image of the soon-to-be royal bride — one of the most watched women in the world — who will join the British royal family next week when she marries Prince Harry. And Stephanie is certainly feeling the Meghan hysteria in the lead-up to the royal wedding of the century.

“I’ve been approached in the street, at restaurants, the gym, even at the grocery store,” says the Lorna Jane retail manager from Canberra, Australia. “The comments have become a lot more frequent.” Stephanie says comparisons between her and the actress started in 2011, when the American actress Meghan Markle joined the hit drama series Suits.

Despite not seeing the resemblance as much as others do, Stephanie admits she’s flattered by all the comparisons, especially because she’s a big fan of the British royals. Now that her celebrity lookalike has found “the one,” Stephanie has started thinking about what she wants in her own Prince Charming. And Meghan’s royal fiancé certainly fits the bill. “Harry seems witty, funny, cheeky, charming, handsome, and gentlemanly,” Stephanie says. “I’m certainly looking for those qualities in a man, too.” Who knows — she might even end up with a doppelgänger of Prince Harry.
