Katy Perry’s current relationship with Orlando Bloom looks nothing short of extraordinary, but getting to the point they’re at today didn’t come without its fair share of work. The couple, who got together back in 2016, have since welcomed a beautiful baby girl, but their relationship endured a bit of hardship as they split in 2017. “We weren’t really in it from day one,” Perry shared during an appearance on Call Her Daddy back in 2024. “He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond, but I had to do a lot of real work.”

Katy Perry was linked to music industry heartbreaker John Mayer between 2012 and 2015, and while they had an on-again-off-again situation, both personally and professionally fulfilling was their relationship. They joined forces on each other’s songs and music videos a few times over the years, but by 2015, they had called it quits for good. “I was madly in love with him,” Perry had said of the relationship during one of their breaks to Vogue, as reported by HuffPost. “I still am madly in love with him.
