Kate Middleton Steals the Show at the James Bond World Premiere in a Dress Inspired by Princess Diana
Kate Middleton has attended the world premiere of the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Stepping out with Prince William, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the royal foursome looked elegant as they walked the red carpet.
But there was no denying that Kate stole the show as she channelled her inner ‘Bond girl’ in a glittering, caped frock covered in sparkling gold details. The dress also clearly paid homage to a gorgeous shimmering dress Princess Diana wore to a Bond premiere of A View to a Kill in 1985.
The embellished Jenny Packham gown is believed to be worth a pretty penny, but Kate made it look like a million-dollar dress as she graced the red carpet on Tuesday night.
She complimented the show-stopping dress with a pair of large gold disk earrings, keeping the rest of her jewelry minimal to let the frock shine. Kate’s hair was wrapped into an intricate updo, and she opted for matching gold stiletto pumps to complete the look.
As usual, she favored natural tones for her makeup but went a little more dramatic than usual, pairing a smokey brown eyeshadow with false lashes, golden bronzer and shimmering highlighter. The duchess was photographed chatting with the film’s lead Daniel Craig during the event, sharing a laugh with the A-list actor.
Though he cut a handsome figure in a red velvet suit jacket, Kate’s old Hollywood glamor simply couldn’t be outdone. Her husband, Prince William and father-in-law Prince Charles both opted for classic black suits and bowties for the event. William even ‘twinned’ with Daniel Craig, wearing a black velvet tuxedo jacket similar to the star’s. Meanwhile, Camilla also embraced embellishment for the evening, styling a pale blue frock with a large, jeweled brooch.
She also carried a small silver clutch that paired perfectly with the sparkling silver embellishments that covered her gown from the neck down. The royals rubbed shoulders with Hollywood actors and A-list celebrities at the event, including a number of big names involved with the film. Photos showed the four of them mingling with the likes of Daniel Craig, Rami Malek and Ana de Armas, who all acted in No Time To Die. They also chatted with British actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who was one of the film’s writers, as well as singer Billie Eilish, who recorded the movie’s theme song.
The royals have been returning to regular, in-person royal duties after almost 18 months of restrictions in the UK. The coronavirus pandemic forced the royal family to isolate for months on end in 2020 and 2021, forcing them to carry out events and engagements remotely. Now, after a break over the summer, the royal family appear to be back in action in full force.
