Christie Brinkley and Her Daughters Look Stunning on SI Swimsuit Cover

It’s hard to believe that model Christie Brinkley is 63! The mother of three just graced the cover of the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue with her two daughters, and the trio look like they could be sisters.

Brinkley and her daughters Alexa Ray, 31, and Sailor Brinkley, 18, are all color coordinated, and they look downright gorgeous in their black swimsuits.

“My first thought was, ‘At my age? No way!’” Christie explained to People magazine. “When I turned 30, I was like, ‘This is the last time I’m posing in a bathing suit!’ When this issue comes out, I’ll be 63. I thought, ‘Those days are over.’ But to get to do it with my girls, I thought, ‘One last go!’”

The ageless Brinkley first appeared in the magazine in 1979, starring on the cover for the next two years as well. Since then she’s gone on to star in numerous fashion spreads and even a few movies! So even though she reportedly retired from bikini shoots in 2004, she hasn’t missed a beat.

“In a country that’s very ageist, people love to put you in little boxes,” she says. “Women feel very limited by their numbers. On a personal level, I thought, if I can pull this off, I think it will help redefine those numbers and remove some of the fear of aging.”

Perhaps the most well-known of her four husbands, Joel and Brinkley were married from 1985 to 1994. Before they were married, Brinkley famously starred in the music video for Joel's hit song "Uptown Girls." They have one daughter together.

On Dec. 29, 1985, Brinkley gave birth to the couple's only child, a daughter named Alexa Ray Joel. She is both Brinkley and Joel's first child.

The 31-year-old has followed in the footsteps of both famous parents. She is a singer and songwriter like her father, and in 2010, she was the spokesperson for Prell shampoo. Her mother also starred in commercials for the haircare brand in the mid-80's.

To this day Brinkley and Joel remain friends. Brinkley even attended Joel's third marriage to ex-wife Katie Lee in 2004. They are pictured above in 2011 after Brinkley made her debut as Roxie in Chicago.

Brinkley's next husband was Ricky Taubman, a real estate developer. The pair met at the Telluride ski resort in Colorado when Brinkley was still married to Joel. Brinkley, Taubman, and Taubman's son from a previous marriage were in a helicopter together when it crashed into a mountain, stranding the trio for five hours. "The near-death experience brought the budding couple closer together," and the couple were married in 1994. Less than a year later in 1995, they divorced.
