Celine Dion Learns Another Family Member Is Battling Cancer

Celine Dion is no stranger to cancer. The Canadian singer’s father died of the disease in 2003. And soon after the beginning of 2016, both her husband, René Angélil, and her older brother Daniel died of cancer within days of each other.

But now another family member is battling the disease. Dion’s brother-in-law Guy Poirier, who’s married to her sister Liette, is under hospice care as his cancer spreads to his lung, bones, and brain. He’s still conscious, according to another sister (Dion is one of 14 kids), and being well taken care of with his wife at his side. The hospice, located in Quebec, Canada, was named after Dion’s father.
