Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman’s Love Story: How They Found Happiness After Heartbreak

Who is Adrien Brody?
Brody, 51 and an Oscar-winning actor, is known for films like The Pianist (2002), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), and The Brutalist (2024).
He was born on April 14, 1973, in New York City, and began professionally acting at age 15 in the 1988 made-for-TV movie Home at Last. From then on, his career continued to climb and now Brody has over 70 credits to his name, including his most recent one, The Brutalist.
In the Brady Corbet directed film, Brody plays a man named László Tóth, who escapes aa war-ridden Europe in 1947 to try and build a better life for his wife Erzsébet (Felicity Jones) and their unborn child. The film earned Brody the Oscar for Best Actor, but some raised concerns over the use of AI to enhance his Hungarian dialogue.
“There’s, unfortunately, a lot of misinformation and disinformation that’s got out there, but this was actually incredibly meticulous work that was done by hand. And I really understand why people are so sensitive on this issue, but this was all, frankly, blown way out of proportion,” Corbet told Variety. “The idea that this diminishes their performance in any way is quite silly—because that’s like saying that using a body double or a stunt double in a wide shot diminishes an actor’s performance because they didn’t actually do the stunt. They still had to do all the work, and [the AI] was only ever used with the Hungarian voice-over. Specifically, there is zero dialogue in English where we use the technology, period.”
As of publication, Brody himself hasn’t commented on the AI drama, but in past interviews, he has praised the film, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “This is an art film that works as a commercial film.”
“That says so much, and it’s so healing, not only for myself and my own creative journey, but for what this industry needs: to prove that audiences are intelligent enough and crave material that feeds them in other ways than they’re typically expecting to receive from a theatrical exploitation.”
Who is Georgina Chapman?
Georgina Chapman is a 48-year-old actress and fashion designer from Hammersmith in London. She appeared in films like Match Point (2005) and Awake (2007).
Chapman shifted her focus to fashion in 2007, the same year she married Harvey Weinstein. The two remained together until 2021 and, during that time, welcomed two children together.
Following their divorce, Weinstein was convicted of multiple charges, including sexual battery and rape, for incidents between 2004 and 2013.
“I was so humiliated and so broken that I didn’t think it was respectful to go out,” Chapman told Vogue of Weinstein. “I thought, ‘Who am I to be parading around with all of this going on?’ It’s still so very, very raw. I was walking up the stairs the other day and I stopped; it was like all the air had been punched out of my lungs.”
“There was a part of me that was terribly naive—clearly, so naive. I have moments of rage, I have moments of confusion, I have moments of disbelief! And I have moments when I just cry for my children. What are their lives going to be?” she continued. “What are people going to say to them? It’s like, they love their dad. They love him; I just can’t bear it for them.”
Chapman and Weinstein share two children—India, 14, and Dashiell, 11. Weinstein is currently serving a 16-year prison sentence in California.
What to know about Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman’s relationship
Brody and Chapman have reportedly been dating since 2020 but met at some point before that. He was previously in a relationship with model Lara Lieto from 2012 until 2018.
They got together after Chapman separated from Weinstein and made their red carpet debut in 2021 at the Tribeca Film Festival, marking the start of their public romance.
Since then, they have walked several red carpets together, with their most recent outing being the 2025 Oscar Awards, where he thanked her in his record-breaking (in terms of length) speech.
“I share this with my amazing partner, Georgina, who has not only reinvigorated my own self-worth but my sense of value and my values, and her beautiful children, Dash and India, I know this has been a roller coaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life and Popsie’s coming home a winner,” the actor said.
Weinstein’s team told People that he is “happy for Georgina” and grateful his children “are being loved and cared for.”
While not engaged, Brody and Chapman continue to enjoy a strong and supportive relationship. For the most part, the couple chooses not to comment on one another, but there is no doubt that they will continue to walk red carpets together going forward.
