Carol Burnett starts off this list due to the fact that she made her Sesame Street debut on the show’s very first broadcast! The actress and comedian went on to make several appearances on the show over the years, and talked to viewers about everything from what the nose is capable of to her rubber duckie.

2. Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler brought his typical comedic charm to his appearance on Sesame Street. While on the show, he attempted to explain the meaning of the word “crunchy.” Additionally, he gifted us with “A Song About Elmo,” in which he attempts to find the words that rhyme with “Elmo.” Adorable and catchy!

3. James Gandolfini
TV tough guy James Gandolfini, known for his role of Tony Soprano in The Sopranos, shed his on-screen persona when he joined Zoe to talk about feeling scared and the things that make him feel afraid: the dark, getting a haircut and giant talking vegetables, of course.
4. Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker paid homage to her Sex and the City character of Carrie Bradshaw when she joined Grover on screen, declaring that she was looking for Big — Big Bird, that is — referencing her fictional love story with Mr. Big in the hit series. The actress made various other appearances on the series over the years as well.
5. One Direction
British and Irish boy band One Direction sang a catchy tune about the letter “U” and the words that start with it to the tune of their hit song, “What Makes You Beautiful,” joined by various Sesame Street characters.
