Milo Ventimiglia

Milo Ventimiglia plays Jack Pearson, a construction foreman. Pearson is married to Rebecca Pearson, played by Mandy Moore, and the couple have three children: Kate, Kevin, and Randall.

Ventimiglia, 39, has starred in several well-known TV shows. He played boyfriend Jess Mariano in Gilmore Girls during the mid-2000s. He is also known for his role as paramedic Peter Petrelli on NBC's sci-fi drama Heroes.

Mandy Moore

Moore's character, Rebecca, is a singer who gave up her dreams to have a family. Moore, 32, was nominated for a People's Choice Award and a Golden Globe for her role.

Moore's first taste of fame was in 1999 when she released the song "Candy" at 14 years old. Her other film credits include The Princess Diaries, A Walk to Remember, and Tangled.

Chrissy Metz

Actress Chrissy Metz, 36, plays Kate Pearson, a woman struggling to lose weight. She and co-star Mandy Moore were both nominated for Best Supporting Actress Awards at this year's Golden Globes.

Prior to This Is Us, Metz had a recurring role in FX's American Horror Story. She also appeared in episodes of Entourage and My Name is Earl.

Sterling K. Brown

Brown, 40, plays Randall Pearson, Jack and Rebecca's adopted son. He was nominated for a SAG award at this year's awards ceremony.

Brown won an Emmy for playing Christopher Darden in The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. He is also know for playing Roland Burton on Lifetime's Army Wives.

Justin Hartley

Hartley, 40, plays Kevin Pearson, Kate and Randall's brother. Kevin is an ex-L.A. actor who moves to New York City to pursue a theater career.

Before his stint on This Is Us, Hartley was known for his work on daytime soaps, with roles on Passions and The Young and the Restless. He also played Oliver Queen on CW's Superman adaptation, Smallville.

Susan Kelechi Watson

Watson plays Beth Pearson, Randall's wife. She and Randall have two children: Tess and Annie.

Watson is best known for her work on Louis, a TV show starring comedian Louis C.K. Her other credits include small roles on Law and Order and The Black List.

Chris Sullivan

Sullivan, 36, stars as Toby Damon, Kate's overweight boyfriend. The two meet at a weight-loss support group and start dating, despite Kate's hesitance.

Sullivan, 36, last starred in the drama series The Knick. He also made an appearance in an episode of Stranger Things and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

Ron C. Jones

Jones, 60, plays William Hill. William, a recovering drug addict, is Randall's biological father.

Jones' latest work includes roles on The Blacklist, Mr. Robot, and Luke Cage. The actor has also been a part of several theater productions.
