We all know that getting a complete makeover is one of the best ways to look and feel more beautiful. But for cancer patients, it’s a bit more than that. Because on top of looking their best, they can gain a lot more confidence and feel like brand new people!

One organization, Hello Gorgeous, has made it their mission to offer free and professional makeovers to women all over the world who are battling cancer. The non-profit organization gives these women a true red-carpet experience, offering them spa services like manicures, pedicures, and facials.

“There are all kinds of criteria for what you can and can’t do on a woman with cancer,” Hello Gorgeous founder Kim Becker has said. “For example, you can’t do a standard manicure. There are various precautions you need to take for manicures, pedicures, makeup usage, and wigs. Manicures and pedicures require the use of bowls with disposable liners. Makeup needs to be specially tested. There are also issues of pampering and comfort such as special neck warmers that can be warmed during use.”

We love that this organization exists, and a few of the cancer survivors in our gallery were treated to their special makeover by Hello Gorgeous!
