Carolyn Swenson, MD
Carolyn Swenson, MD, is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Division Chief of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Utah. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Utah and fellowship in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Michigan.
As a board-certified urogynecologist, Dr. Swenson’s clinical expertise is in the medical and surgical management of pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, pelvic fistulae, and obstetric related pelvic floor conditions. She has received NIH funding for her research identifying the structural and biomechanical causes of pelvic organ prolapse and her current research is focused on primary prevention of pelvic floor disorders.
