Klara Dollan, of London, England, was excited to start her new job at a marketing firm, even though she was feeling under the weather when she woke up. But after a 40-minute commute and a two-hour meeting where she stood the whole time, the 23-year-old had to go home because the pain from her cramps had become unbearable.
At 6-feet, 147-pounds, Dollan had noticed she'd gained enough wait to go up a size in jeans, but she chalked it to a comfort-eating binge after she broke up with her boyfriend. She was still svelte enough to take this selfie in a body-hugging dress.

When she got home, she realized she'd locked herself out, and waited two hours for a locksmith to let her in. The pain got worse. Finally, she went to the bathroom where she was overcome with an urge to push--and saw a tiny head crowning between her legs. She screamed, “It’s a baby, oh my God! It’s a baby.”
Yes, Dollan was pregnant--and didn't realize it. An ambulance took her to the hospital where mom and baby daughter were pronounced healthy.

So how could that have happened? Dollan was on the Pill, continuously, so skipping her periods was no big deal. And she also explained the weight gain away. In fact, such cryptic pregnancies (as they're called) can happen to women on the Pill, doctors told the Daily Mail, especially if women have a stomach bug and vomit up their birth control without knowing they've done that, or they're on antibiotics, which cuts the Pill's effectiveness. Both things had happened to Dollan.
