Nicole Mayhew's incredible sixth sense made a miracle happen.
The mother of three was at work when a gut feeling told her to go and check on her husband, Scott.
Little did Nicole know, her 43-year-old spouse was working on his car at home. As he was reaching for his wrench, the vehicle slipped off the jack and fell on top of him. The SUV was pressing on his chest, pinning him down. For an hour-and-a-half he shouted for help, but no one could hear him. With nothing left to do, he began to pray and asked that his wife come and rescue him.
And she did. When Nicole arrived home, she found her spouse trapped underneath his car saying, "Help me, love." Although she was terrified, Nicole managed to get the help of a neighbor and the pair worked to lift the SUV off Scott. When the ambulance arrived on the scene, Scott had six broken ribs and internal injuries from the accident.
"I consider him extremely lucky. I really think that with her coming home as fast as she did, in the time that she did, he could've lost his life had he been under the car much longer than that," said paramedic Chad Pete.
"I knew if I just held on long enough that my prayers would be answered and she would be able to come home," said Scott.
The positive outcome from such an unfortunate situation has made the couple feel extremely blessed.
"I think that God was watching us that day and I'm so thankful for that," said Nicole.
