Losing your mom is a very big deal, whether you are a two-legged newborn or a four-legged one. When he was only hours old, Breeze was found stumbling around in one of England's national parks. His mother was nowhere to be found, and the poor little colt was in danger of collapsing from exhaustion and dehydration.
Luckily, folks from a nearby horse rescue took Breeze and nursed him back to life. But they wanted the equine orphan to be able to snuggle up to something warm and fuzzy as he slept and put out a call for stuffed animals--the bigger the better.
Success! Breeze got a cuddle buddy he could snooze with.
And because one shot of this colt snuggled up with the teddy isn't enough, here's another!
The teddy bear worked its magic because Breeze thrived. Just shows the importance of a beloved stuffed animal--for any little critter. Watch one of the rescue workers talk about Breeze's rescue below.
