Kristen Tripson knew one thing: her husband, Sam, was the love of her life. So when he first was diagnosed with lymphoma at age 30, the Vero Beach, FL, resident was devastated. She was by his side through all the cancer treatments--the bone marrow transplant, the countless rounds of chemotherapy.

But early on in his battle against cancer, the couple made a decision to go through IVF and freeze the embryos. "It was always our plan, regardless of what happened, that they would have a chance at life," the mom of two wrote on Instagram. And when Sam died last fall, she knew she'd eventually move forward and go through with their plan.

Six months after his death, she told her friends and Instagram followers she was pregnant--and due at the end of October. "I know this isn't going to be easy," Kristen told Us Weekly. "I'm not scared, I'm so excited to meet this little person. It's hard to process, but just having a chance to meet another one of Sam's children, it just blows my mind."
