Rheann MacLaren thought it was going to be a typical outing to the toy store with her son, Harry. But the mom, who lives in Scotland, was wrong--and what happened last week is going viral thanks to an outspoken 3-year-old and two parents who believes in giving their child free reign in the playroom.

While they were at the store, Harry's eyes lit upon a pink stroller and he began pushing it around the aisles. That's when a stranger walked up to him and asked him why he wanted to play with a toy that was so pink and for girls. As MacLaren recounted in a public Facebook post to the person, the stranger said to Harry: "There's cars and dinosaurs over there, why would you want that girly thing?!"
Before MacLaren had a chance to answer, her little boy piped up: "Cause I like it!" And as she continues, "It's literally that simple. It's not about the color of it, the labels behind it, the way it looks... It's about the fact my child looked at it and thought it looked fun to play with." What's more, Harry is going to put his doll in it--because although his favorite toys ARE cars and trucks (along with dinos and monsters and puddle-splashing)--he also plays with his doll in a toy kitchen. And that's okay with his mom and dad.
"Am I worried?" MacLaren wrote in her post. "No, not in the slightest. My child will grow up a well rounded, accepting boy who will NEVER feel pressured to conform to gender stereotypes."
