There were record rainfalls in the Henan Province in China over the weekend, and the flooding and storms curtailed most people's plans. One Chinese couple had an especially difficult decision to make. Their wedding was scheduled for Saturday, but it looked like no one was going to make it thanks to the terrible weather. Should they postpone the ceremony or go ahead even if no one showed up?
They decided to go ahead. In the end, only 10 guests of the 300 invited showed up. Sad, right?
But the bride had a different perspective. "Even though we have no guests, no limousine, no fireworks, and no music, none of that matters--as long as I have you, I'm happy," Zhou Tian told her new husband. Those sweet words took the Chinese social media site Weibo by a storm (no pun intended)! The story, first written up by the People's Daily, got tens of thousands of likes--and over 1,300 comments.
