Celine Dion has wowed many Las Vegas audiences with her performances over the years. But a few weeks ago she touched their hearts, too. The singer was back on stage after a year off spent taking care of her husband, René Angélil, who is battling throat cancer, and their three kids.
Dion was reluctant to go back onstage at first, but René persuaded her, she told USA Today. "My biggest job is to tell my husband, we're fine. I'll take care of our kids. You'll watch us from another spot."
During the show, she paid a tribute to René by singing "The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face" while a montage of home movies of the family appeared behind her. And while her husband couldn't be there in person, he was able to watch it stream live into the couple's Nevada home.
