Six-year-old Audrey Nethery, the little girl in the video, was diagnosed with Diamond-Blackfan anemia, a rare bone-marrow disorder, when she was just two months old. A genetic disorder, the condition causes those who have it to feel weak and extremely tired; it can also stunt a person's growth. The disease has forced Audrey to have more than 20 blood transfusions, but that hasn't kept her from living life to the fullest.
Her mom, Julie Haise, started taking her to Zumba classes as a way for her to exercise and have some fun. Audrey's rambunctious personality and spirited dance moves caught the attention of Zumba lovers across the nation, and she was invited to perform at the International Zumba Convention, where her infectious joy inspired thousands to get up and shimmy in their seats!
You will too when you watch her move!
